Combat & Leveling
Overworld fights, turn-based battles, capture, and XP.

Combat happens two ways: real-time swinging in the overworld (your companion fights beside you), and turn-based creature battles when you engage a weakened wild mob.
Overworld combat
- Enemies outside town chase when you get close, then lunge. Click toward them to swing — your companion fights beside you.
- Your companion follows and melees nearby foes — press TAB to cycle companions and F to feed them. Wild companions spawn in specific biomes (capture them by weakening and walking into them).
- Kills grant XP, scrap, quest credit, and Combat skill XP.
Turn-based battles
- Weaken a wild creature, then walk into it to start a staged encounter where you found it.
- Lead a party of captured creatures. Choose FIGHT, MEND, or RUN each round.
- Victory grants XP and can progress capture quests.
Leveling up
XP fills your level bar. Each level increases your max HP and unlocks tougher quests and boss hunts. Your level syncs to the world server in multiplayer.
Check tallys.world/stats for public leaderboards — hero level, land owned, Tally Points, and Harvest Pool power.
Class abilities
Choose a starter class when you begin — each class has a unique ability activated with Q. Abilities can be upgraded as you progress.
Classes also grant passive stat modifiers to damage, defense, max HP, and fire rate, shaping your playstyle from day one.
