Survival Loop
Gathering, fishing, healing, resting, and what happens when you die.

Survival is about keeping your hero alive while you explore. Resources, fish, and rest all feed back into the same loop: gather → craft / heal → push farther → claim territory.
Gathering resources
- Wood — chop trees with your weapon or axe (unlock the axe at the forge). Earns Woodcutting skill XP; higher levels chop faster.
- Rock & crystal — mine nodes with the pickaxe (V). Earns Mining skill XP and can improve bonus drop odds.
- Scrap — loot from defeated foes, cave deposits, and world drops.
- Fish — cast near water from the Survive menu. Fishing is safe: enemies cannot hurt you while you fish. Catches earn Fishing skill XP; higher levels shorten bite wait and improve rare-fish odds.
Healing & rest
Eat fish from your inventory to restore HP. Rest at a house you have visited to set a home checkpoint — if you die or fail to survive the night outdoors, you wake at that door instead of the wilderness.
Night is dangerous if you sleep outside. Find shelter or make it back to town before resting.
Death & loot
- When you die, your carried inventory drops as a loot bag at the death site (about five minutes to reclaim). Walk over it for a free full recovery.
- Missed the window? Town recovery keeps a 15% fee — cheap bags may also appear on the Trading Post.
- Progress like level, forge upgrades, wardrobe, and stash contents persist on the world server when you are online.
